PORTRAIT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
 
1. How much notice do I need to make a booking? 
 
Currently families are booking 6-9 months in advance for family sessions to guarantee a space, however it's always worth asking as I may be able to squeeze you in as soon as a few weeks, before or after an existing session if you are flexible on location choice. 
 
2. How long after can I view my images from the shoot?
 
I say to allow 1-2 weeks for your gallery but generally your images are ready to view within 24-48 hours following your session via your online gallery. For large families, you are able to login at numerous locations using the same password.
 
3. Do you offer digital only packages? 
 
I offer a combined print and digital package, which gives you the exact same digital file as I send to my printers for your prints. These prints are included at no extra cost so that if you make your own additional prints using the digital negatives, you have the professional quality print to compare your own prints to. I find this gives clients a good understanding of how the professional images should appear in print in regards to quality and colour etc. 
 
4. Do you undertake your sessions in a studio or outdoor locations? 
 
At this stage all my family sessions are undertaken on location, with my studio being used predominately for newborn sessions. You are more than welcome to have family and sibling photos included in any newborn session. 
 
5. How long does a photo shoot go for? 
 
A standard photo shoot will go for approximately 1 hour with the amount of photos taken during this time varying greatly depending on the type of portrait session. However, on average there are normally between 200+ frames captured within a standard outdoor portrait session. Newborn sessions please allow 2+ hours, which allows time to feed, settle and pose your baby as needed.  
 
6. How do I make a booking and when do I need to pay?
 
There is a $100 deposit required to secure your portrait booking, with full payment of  the session required on or prior to the day of your session. I ask to please to contacted at least 48 hours before a session to reschedule your session if needed. All print orders require a 10% deposit and remainder to be paid on collection. 
 
7. Can I have a change of outfit during the portrait shoot?
 
You are welcome to use your hour session time however you please. I recommend only one change of outfit when involving children so you can use their attention wisely on getting photographs captured and not using time on costume changes. 
 
8. How many family members are we allowed to have at our shoot?
 
You can have as many people in a group portrait session as you wish, however for a family of more than 5 - 6 people, it is recommended to order an extra hour on your session, so we have equal amount of time with every person involved. 9. Do I need to bring anything to our session?
 
I pride myself on the fact I'm a natural photographer and love to capture families interacting as they would if a photographer weren't there. It is entirely up to you whether you would like to bring your childs favourite toy, blanket, scooter etc so we can capture photos of their favourite things at that moment in their lives. This is why I prefer to only bring one chair prop of my own and bubbles to entertain the children, so any props in the photos are unique and special to your family.   
 
 
10. How long until I receive my images?
 
As soon as your gallery is up, if your package is paid for, you can have your images as soon as 24-48 hours following your session. Print orders go in every second Tuesday of the month and are available to collect the following week. However you are welcome to your digital copies sooner, as long as your package has been paid in full.
