About Me...
I am one of the luckiest people out there who gets to call one of my main loves in life, my career. Fully qualified in Commercial Photography, I am passionate about photographing people and animals. Some might call me crazy, but I started my career specialising in baby and pet photography as I've always loved a challenge, now branching out into all aspects. What else should you know about me? I'm a dedicated Mum to my little boy, I love my two Italian Greyhounds like they are my other children, as well as having a wonderful supportive network of family and friends. Everything I do in life I am passionate and a perfectionist, I won't stop until I have achieved what I set out to do. I have made so many friends who I originally met from shooting their wedding. I still get a kick out of every wedding I book, knowing that couple have enough trust in me to capture their special day with beautiful memories forever. It truly is an honour to get to play a part in such an intimate day.A highlight of my career would be when I had the opportunity to give aerial photography a shot, getting to fly in a helicopter with the door removed and see Adelaide from a whole new view!

There is nothing more beautiful than a baby belly being shown off for the camera, a memory to hold onto forever.My sessions involve setting up professional studio lighting and backgrounds in the comfort of your own home for privacy for pregnancy shoots and ease with your new arrival session. Bubbas
Babies ...
Newborn sessions are ideal in the first 2 weeks of bubbas life for the most poses to be possible, however the first 4 weeks are ok if unable to be done sooner. New packages are now available for 4 shoots in one:- Pregnancy studio session- Newborn studio session- 6 months studio session- 12 months location shootThese are great for capturing milestone such as sitting at 6 months, standing/walking at 12 months. Dates can be adjusted to suit each baby.
Toddlers and Kids
Our little ones...
Now your little one is walking, I have a personal preference for outdoor shoots in a child's favourite park, beach or playground. Studio shoots are available also, depending on which photos you prefer.Having a toddler of my own, I understand how non-stop they can be! I love to capture natural moments as they learn and explore. I am here to preserve timeless, natural moments with your children, partner or family all year round with the options of a studio or outdoor session, or a combination of both. You can choose a studio session, or a location that may be special and of some significance to your family.
Pets
Our beloved Pets...
I originally launched my business, specialising in pet and newborn photography, two subjects that you can't trust to understand your direction. The options are endless, there is no pet too challenging to be photographed and you can choose whether you prefer a studio or outdoor session. All shoots you are welcome to have individual pet photos, as well as photos of you and your family with your pet. I have photographed various animals including dogs, cats, ferrets, snakes, lizards, rats, fish, birds and rabbits. Pets are often considered our "other children", so they deserve a place on the photo wall too!

No family or pets to have your photo with? Have a portrait on your own! It's a fun idea to dress up, have your hair and makeup done and spoil yourself. Depending on the outcome you desire, you have the option of studio or a location of your choice.I also undertake sessions for model portfolios and all types of events ie, Christenings, Baby Showers, Birthday Parties etc.

PRICES/PACKAGES:Portrait sessions start from $140, prints from $16 and packages from $299. Please contact me to view a full price list, or feel free to send me an email to ask any questions you may have. Maternity shoots have four options with pregnancy/newborn only, pregnancy & newborn, or pregnancy & newborn with a 6 and or 12 month session to cover all the important milestones. Combination shoots are also available, with so many varieties ie, studio pet portrait, followed by studio family portrait, or studio pet portrait and outdoor family portrait, or studio family portrait, outdoor pet portrait and so on! The possibilities are endless!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...1. How much notice do I need to make a booking? If I am available, I can shoot for you as soon as tomorrow! 2. How long after can I view my images from the shoot?I say to allow 2 weeks for viewing of the images, however they are usually ready to see within the week following the shoot. 3. How do I know which shoot to have, studio session or outdoor session. It really depends on what type of photos you prefer the look of! Why not have a scroll through my galleries and see which photos appeal to you. Otherwise I have combination packages availalbe which offer both a studio and location session all in the one price. Studio sessions are perfect for pregnancy and newborn, baby and children shoots and personally I love outdoor location sessions for toddlers, families, couples and so on. Most ideas can be undertaken either indoors or outdoors.4. How long does a photo shoot go for? A standard photo shoot will go for approximately 1 hour with the amount of photos taken during this time varying greatly depending on the type of portrait session. However, on average there are normally between 200 - 300 frames captured within a standard session.5. How do I make a booking and when do I need to pay?There is a $50 deposit required to secure your portrait booking, with full payment of the session required on the day of the shoot. I ask to please to contacted at least 48 hours before a session to reschedule your session if needed. All print orders require a 10% deposit and remainder to be paid on collection. 6. Can I have a change of outfit during the portrait shoot?You can have as many costume changes as you like, that fit within your 1 hour timeframe..7. How many family members are we allowed to have at our shoot?You can have as many people in a group portrait session as you wish, however for a family of more than 5 - 6 people, it is recommended to order an extra hour on your session, so we have equal amount of time with every person involved. Please view my full price list for shoot options with extra families. 8. Where abouts is your studio located?Studio sessions are held in the comfort of your own home, with professional lighting and backgrounds, which is helpful especially with small babies or children so you don't have to travel, and they are comfortable in their own surroundings. Location sessions can be held at a park, beach, playground etc of your choice, or perhaps a place of significance to you and your family.

So you like what you see with my photos and packages, what to do now?Time for us to meet up, have a chat and show you some of my album samples and past weddings. It's crucial you and your photographer instantly "click", as you are about to spend majority of your special day and intimate moments with them, with memories to treasure forever.I loved meeting up with you, how do I book you as our wedding photographer?A $200 deposit is required for all wedding bookings, with remaining package payment to be paid 2 weeks prior to your wedding. I have booked you to photograph our wedding and would like to change something in my package, can I do this? You are welcome to add anything or alter your contract right up until final payment has been made. Locations can be changed right up until the day of your wedding.What will we get booking with Jade Kearns Photography that we might not get with other photographers?Trusting a photographer to capture your wedding day is one of the most important decisions you will need to make. I'm extremely flexible and like to go out of my way to make sure every single client is happy and often exceed clients expectations. I am often complimented on how fast I photograph and get people organised, without coming across intrusive or bossy. All you need to do is ask me, even if it's something I have never done before, I will do my best to make it happen!How long following our wedding will we receive our DVD?I say to allow 4 weeks following your wedding to receive your DVD, however often they are ready much sooner than this. I aim to have the DVD ready for when you return home from your honeymoon. Are we allowed to make our own prints from the high res. images on DVD?You sure can! Some photographers forget to tell you that legally images on your DVD are rights of the photographer unless otherwise specified, and hit you up with a hefty cost following your wedding. I sign a model release that I give to you, stating shared rights to the images on DVD so you can use them for unlimited prints, enlargements and even publications.What happens if I lose my DVD after I have purchased my wedding package?I keep your digital images on file for a minimum of 18 months following your wedding. If you lose or damage your DVD, you are welcome to order another one within this time. I recommend once receiving your DVD you make your own back up also, and you can order a high resolution USB of your images if you wish.Are there any additional costs that aren't listed in the packages?No! I find it important to show all costs up front, so there are no surprises following your special day. Majority of my work is from word of mouth, so I make sure all of my clients are 100% happy with their entire photography experience.Are you qualified as a professional Photographer?I am fully qualified with an Advanced Diploma in Commercial Photography and photographed my first wedding in 2002. How much input can we have in what type of photographs we would like on our day?I am happy to have you trust your entire day based on viewing my past work, or have as much input as you would like, including samples of other work you have seen and specific images you would love to capture on your own wedding day. In our pre wedding consultation we can discuss what type of images you love the most.

A professional photographer to capture important images at events can be crucial to look back and see all the hard work you put into putting that event together. All types of events can be covered, including:- Event Openings- Product/Event Launches- Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Functions
Head Shots can be used for any purpose once images are purchased on file, as rights to high resolution images are those of the client, as stated in the model release form you will receive. These images can then be used to any forms of publications, the main use often for business cards or websites.
As rights are signed over to corporate clients, you can use these images for any purpose you wish, ie magazines, online advertising/media, your business website, and so on.
